To leave a specific sum of money to an individual, log in to your account and tap 'Your will' at the top of the page.
Scroll to the 'Optional' section where you'll see a box titled 'Gifts'. Tap 'Add gifts'.
On the next page, you'll see the option to leave different types of specific gifts. To leave a gift of money, tap the 'Add' button in the box that says 'Some money'.
Enter the amount and choose who you'd like to leave it to
People you've already mentioned in your will are shown here. If you'd like to leave the money to them, just tick the box next to their name. You'll also see the option to add someone new.
Leave a message if you'd like to
If you'd like to leave a message to go with your gift, you'll see the option to add one. You don't have to leave a message, although it can be nice. When you're ready, tap 'Save and continue'.
You'll be taken back to the Gifts page, where you can review the gift you've just included, and add another gift, if you'd like to.
Adding more than one gift
There's no limit to the number of gifts you can include in your will. To leave another gift, select the relevant section to repeat the process.
Leaving gifts for people when they reach a certain age
If you want to leave gifts to beneficiaries when they reach a certain age (for example, 21 or 25), you'll need to use our telephone will service.
If you leave a specific gift to a beneficiary and it’s no longer in your estate at the time of your death, that gift will not be realised. This is called ‘adeeming’.
