You can store your will at home in a secure place, such as a safe or locked filing cabinet. Some will preparers offer storage as a service, but Farewill does not. You can store a will with the Probate Registry for as little as £20.
If you store your will in a place that needs a combination, password or key, make sure someone you trust knows how to access it, for example:
- your partner or spouse
- executor(s)
- children over the age of 18
- your solicitor
